England are almost at full strength for their opening World Cup match.

 

Only Wayne Rooney is missing from Sven's first choice team for the Paraguay match. The main doubt in the build up was Steven Gerrard, but his back injury has cleared up. Wayne Rooney has been warming up on the pitch with the rest of the squad, although he's not expected to be risked this early in the tournament.

England are strong favourites for the match with the bookmakers, but we've seen already in this world cup that the underdogs can cause a surprise, so there's no room for complacency. Having said that if England perform to their potential they should win this match comfortably, my prediction is a 2-0 win.
